Hungarian folk song is our musical mother tongue, so it is very important to keep it alive and get to know it as much as possible. The specialized tasks of teaching folk singing are very valuable: getting to know the traditions of singing folk music, acquiring the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the authentic sounding of folk songs, developing the form, melody and sense of tempo needed to form sung folk music characters.
