The accordion, as a folk instrument, occurs in two versions, as a button-style accordion (bayan) and as a keyboard accordion. It has not become very traditional among the Hungarian people, but it is sporadically present everywhere. The accordion plays a melody in Hungarian folk music, and in some regions they use chord accompaniment. The accordion is a complex instrument, as we can also play melody and accompaniment on it.
